Marine-grade prepainted aluminium for coastal homes, right up to the waterline.
The Endurance Range is prepainted aluminium, in ColorCote AlumiGard or ColorSteel Altimate. Aluminium doesn't rust, so it is the material we recommend for homes near the sea, where salt spray would shorten the life of steel. Below is how it is made, where it suits, and the colours it comes in.
Endurance Range prepainted aluminium
Marine-grade aluminium for the harshest coastal sites
ColorCote AlumiGard and ColorSteel Altimate are both made on 5005-H34 marine-grade aluminium alloy, the same kind of alloy used to build boats. Aluminium forms its own thin oxide layer, which seals the surface against further corrosion, so it stays sound in salt air that would wear through steel.
That makes it the right choice for severe coastal sites, right up to the waterline. It is suitable across corrosion zones B, C, D and E.
Built up layer by layer
A coloured finish coat sits over a primer and pretreatment on the marine-grade aluminium. The underside carries its own pretreatment and primer under a Shadow Grey backer. The cut-away below shows AlumiGard.
Where the Endurance Range is available
The Endurance Range is available on Archie Box, Halo 150, Halo 200 and Texan spouting, and on Cover U fascia wrap. Your local team will confirm what suits your site.
Aluminium is never fitted in contact with copper or brass. Water running off copper onto aluminium corrodes it quickly, so the two metals are kept apart in every system we install.
Use MagnaFlow Plus (chemically resistant paint) for industrial and geothermal sites. Its colours are in our Specialty Range.
